The "Moosey" Story

Tara Roberts has been filming documentaries, sports, and small business promo's for 9 years. She graduated from Shepherd University with a degree in Mass Communications and Photography. The name Moosey ProductionsTara "Morning Moose" Roberts grew out of a trip she took back in college. In 2003 she took a semester off school to hike the 2,000 mile Appalachian Trail. All thru-hikers adopt a "trail name" they are known by to fellow hikers. Tara's trail name became "Morning Moose" after a few early rises in Maine startled some still sleepy hikers who mistook the sound of her walking through the campsite for a moose. Along the way she discovered her desire to keep life simple. When you carry everything you need on your back for 6 months, you realize there is a lot you can do without. Of course, as her business grows, so does the amount of equipment. She has upgraded to HD video cameras to provide the highest quality video to her clients. After graduation she moved to Utah to work as a ski videographer. Since then she has developed her own media business, while also working freelance jobs for various sailing, cycling and other events. In her off time she does anything she can to spend time outdoors. You are most likely to find her biking, kayaking, hiking, camping, or spending time on her parents' farm where she grew up rising goats and pigs.
